Wehavenowidentifiedthisuser.Wecorrectlyflaggedthisuser’sIPaddressasbeingintheU.S.NotwithstandingtheU.S.IPaddress—whichmaybeusedbyBitfinexcustomers,asappropriate—oursystemlogsdemonstratethatthisuserrepresentedtousseveraltimesthathewasnotanindividualresidentintheU.S.ThispersonhasliedtoBitfinexonmultipleoccasions,deliberatelyandwronglyconcealedhislocation,andflagrantlyviolatedourtermsofservice.
Wethinkit’sunfortunatethatMr.Chaparrowouldratherassociatehimselfwiththeseactionsthanactivelyattempttohelpusuncoverandpunishfraudulentbehaviouronourplatform.Thiskindof‘gotcha’stingalsospeaksvolumesabouthisandourotherdetractors’truemotivations.
