Aftertheincident,alargenumberofusersdepositedaUSDerrormintsintoKuCoin,resultinginaUSD’sdepegfrom$1.Soonafterthat,theAcalaSwapandtheAcalachainwerepaused.
TheAcalaFoundationcontactedusandaskedforourhelptotemporarilyfreezeaccountsthatareassociatedwiththeaUSDincident,preventinganyfurthertransactionsoftheaUSDerrormints.ToprotecttheAcalacommunity,aUSDholders,aswellasKuCoinusers,KuCointemporarilyfroze2batchesofsuspiciousaccountsonAugust14andAugust18.
